# Creating a Custom Color

1. In the Control bar, click the Fill drop-down arrow.
2. Click the **More** button (upper-right in Fill drop-down menu.) Select **New Color Swatch**.
3. In the New Color Swatch dialog box, use the controls to create a new color. Note: Controls will vary based on the color mode you've selected (CMYK, RGB, etc.)
