# Resizing and Repositioning an Image in Its Frame

1. Click the [Direct Selection tool](https://jjloomis.gitbook.io/adobe-indesign-basics-mac-os-edition/working-with-tools/selection-tools) in the Toolbar.
2. Select the image in your project. Resizing handles will appear around the outside of the image. The Grabber Hand tool will appear within the image frame.
3. Click and drag the image to reposition it within the frame.
4. On your keyboard, press and hold the **Shift** key.
5. While holding the **Shift** on your keyboard, click and drag a resizing handle.
6. Click and drag the resized image to reposition it in its frame.
