# Using Creator Studio

You'll need to create a channel before uploading videos to YouTube. You'll do this with Creator Studio.

1. In the upper-right, click your **humanoid** icon.
2. From the drop-down list, select **Creator Studio**.
3. You will be prompted to create a channel. Click the **Create a channel** link.
4. Enter your name (or the name you would like to use on YouTube.) **Note**: Google does not let you change your name that often. Using your actual name is recommneded.
