# Opening Multiple Finder Windows

To copy a the content of one folder into another folder, you’ll need to open multiple Finder windows.

1. Click on the Desktop to make sure you’re in Finder mode. 
2. Click **File** on the menu bar and select **New Finder Window** (or use the keyboard shortcut **Command** **N**.)
