# Deleting a layer

1. Make sure the layer you want to edit is selected in the Layers panel.
2. Click the Delete layer icon (trash) at the bottom of the Layers panel.
3. A dialog box will ask Are you sure you want to delete "\[name of layer]"?
4. Click Yes.
