# Removing part of an image

## Selection tool

1. Make sure the layer you want to edit is selected in the Layers panel.
2. Create a selection on the layer.
3. Press Delete on your keyboard.

## Eraser tool

1. Make sure the layer you want to edit is selected in the Layers panel.
2. Use the Erase tool to remove parts of the image.
