# Resizing an Image and Its Frame

1. Click the [Selection tool](/adobe-indesign-basics-home-edition-macos/working-with-tools/selection-tools.md) in the Toolbar.
2. Select the image in your project. Resizing handles (white squares) will appear around the outside of the image.
3. On your keyboard, press and hold the **Command** + **Shift** keys at the same time.
4. While holding **Command** + **Shift** on your keyboard, click and drag a resizing handle. (Note: To maintain the center point of your image while resizing, press and hold **Shift** + **Option** + **Command** as your click and drag.)
